A highly ranked restaurant on Tabelog, we went 30 minutes before closing (they’re only open for lunch for a few hours), to find that they were already sold out of a fair number of dishes, including the regular katsu, hire-katsu, and curry side dish, so we went with the rosu-katsu. There was a short line. We bought our tickets first, and while we waiting two people came right after closing time but they still let them in. The katsu came with TONS of cabbage and we were plenty full at the end. It is a specialty restaurant with limited seating, and there were even signs saying not to talk on your phone. The people next to us asked the chef if they could take pictures of the food. And the food was delicious. I don’t have a particular reason why it’s not a 2 thumbs up- I guess it’s a bit out the way at least from where I am, a bit of a walk from the station, plus the line and the short hours. And it’s not super cheap, but definitely worth it. If you want to try katsu and can only go once, see if you can make it here.
